In the December 2010 issue of Happy Trails, I reported on the decision by the Tarzana Neighborhood Council to approve the construction of a 3-acre 156 person eldercare facility in the middle of an RA neighborhood. Click here to read the article.
The Zoning Administrator has scheduled a hearing at 2:30pm, Monday February 14, at the Braude Building located at 6262 Van Nuys Blvd. This development is a clear and imminent threat to residential neighborhoods as well as the peace and property values of residential real estate property values, especially those that are RA zoned (horse properties).
It is imperative that anybody who does not want commercial buildings to locate and operate in residential neighborhoods to attend this meeting or to at least write a letter or sign the petition in opposition to the builder, who just happens to sit on the Tarzana Neighborhood Council.
Please contact me for more information or if you would like to sign the petition in opposition to commercial development.
